What type of dance does Dance Designer support?
Dance Designer supports all styles of dance. Dance Designer includes palettes for Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, Hip
Hop, Tap, Cheer and Figure Skating. You can use these palettes as you notate your dance, or create your own custom Palette using Dance Designer Pro.

Does Dance Designer only work for Dance?
No. Dance Designer is for figure skating, cheerleading and tumbling choreography, as well as other areas of entertainment such as theatrical stage blocking, half time shows etc. When you need to choreograph people, cars or stages synchronized to music or time, Dance Designer is your tool.

Does it work on Windows and Mac computers?
Dance Designer can be run on newer MACs that have the Intel Chipset.
You will need Apple Boot Camp -

You will also need the Windows operating system. This setup will require advance user knowledge and we recommend that you download the free trial to test

What are the computer requirements to use Dance Designer?
Minimum Requirements:
- Microsoft Windows XP (SP3) Windows Vista (SP1) Windows 7 32-bit
- (64-bit os must be run compatibility mode)
- Micrososft DirectX 9 or later
- Microsoft.net 3.5 or later version
- Intel Pentium Dual Core 1.60 Ghz processor minimum — Recommended: 2.0GHz
- 1.0 GB of RAM minimum — Recommended 3.0 GB of RAM
- Minimum screen resolution - 1280 x 800 - Recommended: 1920 x 1080
Optional Requirements:
- Dedicated Windows-compatible sound card, microphone and speakers (recommended)
- Camera video recording requires a USB Camera. USB Web Camera

What does "Product Activation" mean?
"Product Activation" simply means that you, as user of a product, are required to perform some simple action to verify that you are an "authorized" user. When using product activation for software, the serial number provided with your purchase is checked against a central database, and when it's found to be valid, then the software is activated for immediate use.

Is "activation" the same as "registration"?
No. Activation is mandatory to use the software and does not require the user to supply personal information. Registration is optional and involves entering personal information (name, address, etc.).

Can I run Dance Designer on multiple computers?
Dance Designer can be installed on multiple computers, but can only be used on one computer at a time. To use Dance Designer on different computers you will need to deactivate the program on the current computers and activate it on your second computer.

What is the refund policy?
All software is available for a fully functional free 15 day trial. Tech support can help you with getting your free trial working on your computer. We recommend that you take advantage of the free trial before purchasing your annual license as there are no refunds for software licenses.

What type of music files can I open?
Dance Designer is able to import multiple types of audio files

Can I open music from a CD?
You will first need to "rip" the music from your CD using a music program, like iTunes or Windows Media Player, that allows you to create a, WAV, MP3, WMA or AIFF music file. Once that is complete, you will be able to import those pieces of music into Dance Designer.

Can I open music I have downloaded from iTunes?
Yes. Currently iTunes is providing un-protected music which can easily be imported into Dance Designer. If you still have protected music in your iTunes library, you will need to burn those to a CD and then "rip" back into iTunes as a MP3 music file.

Can I edit my music in Dance Designer?
Dance Designer has basic music editing features that are fast and simple to use. You can cut, delete, fade and mix your music using dance counts. Along with the main music track there is a second track that you may add additional music or record a narration track using your PC. All of which can be mixed using the Dance Designer Audio Mixer.

Can I change the tempo of my music?
Yes, you can change the tempo of your music in Dance Designer. You can speed up or slow down in 1/2 percentage increments. Speeding up or slowing down the tempo will not change the pitch of your music.

Can I change the Count style?
Dance Designer gives you the ability to change the count style of your music to match your own personal count preference from changing the number of counts per phrase to the count style.

Can I burn music CDs in Dance Designer?
No. Dance Designer allows you to export your edited music which then can be imported into a program like iTunes. You may then create a playlist and burn to a CD.

Dance Designer has many templates for you to choose from including various stage types, a football field, an ice skating rink, a basketball court, etc.

How many dancers can I have in a dance?
There is not a maximum amount of dancers you can have in a dance. However, the number of dancers, the number of recorded positions and the length of the dance, processing speed and memory of your computer will affect the playback and performance of Dance Designer.
