DANCE DESIGNER SET TO REVOLUTIONIZE THE INDUSTRY
Cypress, CA— Choreo Technology, LLC, a collaborative project among dancers, professional choreographers and a team of software developers, will release “Dance Designer” in Basic and Pro versions in the end of 2009, both powerful software applications that hold tremendous potential to expand, enhance and refine the choreographic art.
The software will be available from Choreo Technology’s website, www.ChoreoPro.com Dance Designer supports choreographers from virtually any dance discipline including classical ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, lyrical, tap, cheer, figure skating, and all other forms of theatrical motion.
The software replaces the time consuming and often tedious manual practices many choreographers use to develop and produce dance productions. The innovative software offers users a complete choreography package that assists with the creation, pre-visualization, documentation, communication and rehearsal process. Dance Designer will save and organize everything from recital routines to elaborate, multi-layered productions in a single digital file. Through a simple process, users can add dance counts to music, edit music and video, notate movement, show path and formation changes using “ChoreoMotion” technology, all synchronized together making a complete multi-media dance score. “The most significant development our tools offer dancers and choreographers is the ability to save their work and create a multi-media dance score,” says co-developer and founder Carri Burbank, an accomplished dancer, teacher and choreographer. Multi-media dance scores will prove to be a valuable asset for studio, theater, television, motion picture, concert, fashion, cruise line, industrial, and special event industries.
In development for over two years, Dance Designer gives choreographers of all levels, a complete package of easy-to-use point-click-and-drag digital tools to conceive, blend, save and share all the various elements they use to produce their work. Using state-of-the-art programming, combining multi-media technologies together with choreographic methodologies, the software allows professional choreographers, dance teachers, studio owners, high school dance programs, college professors, cheer and figure skating coaches to express their individual style of motion in one powerful application.“Choreographers now have an easy and powerful tool to capture their artistic expressions and document their intellectual property,” says Burbank.
Choreo Technology, LLC was founded by choreographer, dancer and studio owner Carri Burbank and Sean Glen, an event producer. Two years ago, the pair, together with a team of dancers, choreographers and software specialists, conceived the notion, “of creating tools for every choreographer that will help save time and ease the process involved in creating, capturing and owning their art,” says Burbank.
